Kerry introduces multiple service options to help businesses make it easier for their customers to buy their products. With its growing network of locations and nightly trucking capacity, along with the addition of many value-added services, Kerry Express is seeing an increasing number of Direct Sales companies signing on to use the company’s tailor-made express services.
Multi-level marketing, Catalogue, and TV marketing companies are the latest examples of businesses that are using Kerry’s pick-pack warehouse and forward stock services to get to their customers faster.
Kerry Express services are tailor-made to fit customer requirements. In many cases this means moving inventory from high cost locations closer to the Distribution Centre - helping companies lower their total logistics supply chain costs whilst delivering the product when the buyer requires it.
One TV marketing company recently tasked Kerry to come up with a better system for distributing and collecting monies for its products upcountry. The company found that certain products sold better in different parts of the country and had to rely on shipping from its own central Bangkok warehouse location. The company approached Kerry to come up with a better solution that was faster to the customer and more cost-effective. The solution was for Kerry to operate a forward stock department in key up-country locations. When the order came in, the product was shipped from Kerry’s nearest depot to the customer – cutting down the shipping time for the customer while reducing transport costs.
The addition of multiple delivery-day options to include weekends and holidays, plus ‘Cash on Delivery’ and ‘Call before Delivery’ all enable the seller to offer the type of service that best meets their customer’s requirements. By using Kerry’s state-of-the-art multi-lingual web-based distribution software known as DMS; shippers and end customers can check the status of any consignment on the internet 24 hours a day.
Robert Turner, General Manager of Kerry Express commented, “With more and more start-ups, direct-selling and small businesses vying to make in-roads into their individual markets, we believe most of these types of businesses can be supported by the expertise required to be competitive in today’s market place, especially those entering a market without the logistics expertise. And with our motto ‘you sell it, we will delivery it’, in combination with a tailor-made approach, Kerry is ideally-positioned to assist these types of businesses grow.”. |
